The person behind the project

About the founder

I am Jacob W. I founded Think Smarter AI on 18 July 2026.

About Jacob

Curiosity started with buttons

I grew up in the hills around Melbourne and was interested in computers from a young age. As a toddler, I pressed every emergency button I could reach in shops. Later, that curiosity became a habit of breaking computers, working out what went wrong and fixing them again.

When Think Smarter AI began in 2026, I was 26 and working as an IT infrastructure engineer. This is the first independent project I have taken from an idea to a public website.

WorkIT infrastructure, systems and practical problem-solving.
Outside workBasketball and time with my two dogs, cat, snake and axolotl.
This projectA first solo build, developed with AI assistance and human review.

Why it exists

Learning without outsourcing the thinking

The project is built around a simple principle: AI should improve human thinking, not replace it. For me, that means using the technology where it adds value while still learning, checking, correcting and making the important decisions myself.

What stays human

Direction, review and the final call

I keep the direction, important reviews and final decisions human. AI helps me explore options, build reviewable changes and check the work. Responsibility for the result stays with me.

Learning in public

The rough edges belong in the story

The project is still early-stage, and I am documenting the journey as it develops. Earlier website versions remain available so the wrong turns and visible changes are not hidden.
